ABOUT ME
Tris was elected as the Member of Parliament for Chatham and Aylesford in 2024. A proud Medway resident, Tris attended St. William of Perth Catholic Primary School and later earned a BA in Natural Sciences and an MA in Business Management from Durham University.
Before entering teaching, Tris worked in financial risk for a banking start-up, gaining invaluable insight into the challenges faced by small businesses and entrepreneurs. He later advised political parties on business regulation in London, sharpening his understanding of policy-making and its real-world implications. Tris also served as a Special Constable with the Metropolitan Police, where he experienced first-hand the demands of frontline policing and public service.
Tris first entered public office in 2011, becoming Medway Council’s youngest Councillor at the time. Over four terms, he represented the wards of Luton and Wayfield, Rochester East, and Warren Wood, championing local issues and advocating for community-driven solutions.
Known for his approachable and collaborative style, Tris is passionate about making politics accessible and responsive. In Parliament, he is deeply committed to representing the diverse needs of Chatham and Aylesford, focusing on education, sustainability, and technology.
